August 2024 News

Hello Everyone,

The e-news this month consists of quite a few attachments; they are not huge files though.
In preparation for the AGM next Saturday [10th August], there is an agenda which includes the list of correspondence which will be tabled at the meeting, and there are the minutes from our last AGM and General Meeting.

We are really looking forward to hearing from Elizabeth Daley, author of WINGS, the best book about insect identification for citizen scientists. In crafting a presentation which tells her story, she will inspire us to take more of an interest in the insect world. There’ll be great photos too, and Elizabeth has promised to bring some of her books for sale.
Meet at 20 Edward Street, Bridport at 11 am.   Please bring something to share for lunch.

Here is a link to  the larapuna Community Weekend [for those who love beach walking] and at the end of the news, a flier with an invitation to  an Australian Plant Society meeting with a fascinating slant.[sent to me by Roy Skabo]
