Rice Grass, Bridport.
The North-Eastern Advertiser (10 May 2023) recently reported on the return of rice grass to Trent Water at Bridport. NE field naturalists who attended the Native Point activity in March 2022 will probably recall discussions about the extent of the rice grass problem in the Tamar River. The extensive rice grass invasion in the Tamar could be replicated in Trent Water if prompt and effective action is not taken.
Fungi Day Report.
The North-Eastern Advertiser (10 May 2023) also included an article about the NE field naturalists’ fungi day activity held in April at East Diddleum. A list of the fungi spotted on the day is on our website. Our website gallery includes images of many Tasmanian fungi species seen on our various fungi trips.
